NORTH KOREA: College Students Get Third Degree on Hurry-up Construction Sites

Pictures taken in North Korea by an American tourist purport to show that the country is mobilizing college students to help finish massive construction projects in time for the nation’s centennial birthday celebration of its late founder Kim Il-Sung, according to Yonhap News Agency, the leading news agency of South Korea. There are allegations that university classes are being dismissed so students can help build new apartments in the showcase capital of Pyongyang.  This move is part of a North Korean construction drive to build a prosperous nation by next year. A source familiar with the issue says the mobilisation of students is causing numerous accidents on the construction sites, where an estimated 200 college students have already died.
