The influential newsletter of the Pacific Century Institute, just published, features a story on the upcoming book “In the Middle of the Future: Tom Plate on Asia.” Written by the founder and editor in chief of The New Asia Media, the book is a sweeping review of the last two decades of major developments in Asia, and its relationship with the U.S. The 400-plus page volume is due out next month under the imprint of Marshall Cavendish International (Asia), based in Singapore, and with offices in New York and London. Through an imaginative variety of programs and outreach efforts, PCI works hard to foster better understanding between Asia and America, particular with regard to Korean relations.
