WEST COAST USA: PACIFIC SHOCK FROM LION EARTHQUAKE

ASIA MEDIA WRITES — For all you hard-core hard-court fans out there, get hold of a vid of Loyola Marymount University’s clutch James Bateman knocking down 7 of his 23 points in the final minute and a half to beat a tough Pacific University this weekend.

The Lions’ mens’ basketball squad had to squirm out from under a huge 16 point slide to beat a tough Pacific University, an Oregon team ahead of LMU in the West Coast Conference standings.

Asia Media International rarely comments on local sports matters, but as we are located in Los Angeles, on the eastern edge of the Pacific Rim, we feel a duty to report on major phenomenal events of the region.

So, grats to Mr Bateman and the entire LMU squad – not to mention its cool-headed head coach Mike Dunlap (pictured) – for the extraordinary effort. We hope the team will go on to shine even more at the West Coast Conference playoffs in Las Vegas starting 2 March against Portland.
If it does, you’ll be hearing from us again on this important topic.
