YI NING WONG WRITES — Taiwanese American Professionals (TAP-LA) presented the 2nd Annual Taiwanese American Film Festival (TAFF) on August 3rd and 4th. TAFF screened 2 feature films, Take Me To The Moon by Hsieh Chun-yi and For Izzy by Alex Chu, twelve shorts, and hosted a diverse group of industry panelists. The event followed a Taiwanese night market theme of “EAT DRINK PLAY FUN 吃喝玩樂”, adding a joyous atmosphere to the festival experience.
TAFF is the only showcase in the US that focuses on Taiwanese American and Taiwanese international filmmakers. They aim to extend Taiwanese pride to other diverse communities.
