The 2012 China-United States Journalists Exchange is revving up for the third time. The amazing program kicks off November 23 and runs to December 8, 2012. With leadership change in China, the US Presidential Election, and the growing importance of China-US relations in global affairs and the global economy, the 2012 program will provide opportunities for Chinese and US journalists to explore the dynamics of US-China relations, as well as economic, social, cultural and political impacts in China and the United States. The journalists will meet with government and business leaders, academics, journalists, non-governmental organizations and other members of Chinese and American communities. All participants will meet in Honolulu for a 2-day dialogue after their study tours. Who can apply? Working print, broadcast and online journalists from the United States with a minimum of five years of experience. The application deadline is Wednesday, September 19, 2012. The program covers all air transportation, lodging, and program-related ground transportation and meals for participating journalists.
