Three ministers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are being forced to resign by BJP president Nitin Gadkari due to the recent porn scandal that blew up in the Indian media on February 7th.
Video journalists from a Private Kannada news channel were taping a legislative assembly in Karnataka when they caught site of ministers Lakshaman Savdi, who holds the cooperation portfolio, and CC Patil, the minister of women and child development, watching what looked like pornography on a cell phone during the House debate.
Although the ministers initially denied allegations and claimed that they were watching a rape and murder scene from a foreign country, close-ups of the clip and further investigations show that the two were watching a four minute and twelve second porn clip called Abik that has been circulating the country. The ministers insisted that the phone belonged to fellow minister J Krishna Palemar, of ports and environment responsibilities. The device also has video clippings of tourists under the influence of drugs and alcohol, partaking in lewd activities during a rave that had been held on St. Mary’s island several days before.
