CHINA: NEW SCHOOL OF GLOBAL GOVERANCE

ASIA MEDIA INTERNATIONAL WRITES – China appears to be taking its new role in world affairs seriously, even in the field of professional higher education.

Xinhua, China’s official news agency, reports that a new college to train professionals in the growing field of global governance.

The School of Global Governance was inaugurated Sunday April 9 at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), aiming to train more multilingual professionals with global vision and cross-cultural communication proficiency.

“Through innovative training models, the school is expected to cultivate talents who are proficient in international rules and at least two working languages of the United Nations,” said BFSU President Peng Long.
