We’re just bragging of course, but so what? It’s totally justified! Above pix was shot at the 2017 annual national meeting of the American Political science Assn., in San Francisco just recently. The picture shows (left to right) Prof. Nancy Kassop, of the State University of New York, New Paltz (chair of the award selection committee that picked our Prof Genovese as the recipient of its coveted — and rarely given – national Distinguished Teaching Award); an obviously pleased Dean Robbin Crabtree, our Dean of the Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts; awardee Genovese, one of the stars of the LMU’s acclaimed Political Science Dept., and Prof Tom Cronin of Colorado College. In this life, with its many bumps and bruises, it is essential that we celebrate – with all deliberate gusto – the good things when they happen. This surely was one.
