UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: World’s Largest Book (Literally) Debuts in Dubai

The world’s largest book entitled “This is Mohammad” (Peace Be Upon Him) written by Dr. Abdullah Abdul Aziz Al Musleh, the Secretary General of the Commission on Scientific Signs in the Quran and Sunnah in Riyadh, is set to hit the bookstores in late February in Dubai, as reported by the Khaleej Times and the Sultan Bin Al Owais Cultural Foundation’s newsletter.  The project was announced in August, 2011 with an estimated duration of 7-9 months.

Weighing 1,500 kg and 5 meters in height and 4 meters in width, the 420-page hardwood covered book is the creation of the Mashahed International Investment Group. As the owners and publishers of the book, they state their main objective in creating it is to spread awareness about Islam and Muslims and to highlight parts of the Prophet Mohammad’s life.

The grand release of the book is set for the 27th of February and is taking place under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance.
