K-Pop Korner: Bad Weather “Rains” on Eric Nam’s First U.S Tour

KELCEY LORENZO WRITES – Atlanta-born K-Pop solo artist and YouTube sensation Eric Nam recently announced that his first U.S. tour would have to be put on pause.

The one-week showcase tour was supposed to kick off on February 20th in New York, continue on to Atlanta and Dallas, and finish in Los Angeles. Boa, member of girl group Spica, was also scheduled to perform alongside Nam as a special guest for the American concerts.

On the 18th, just two days before the first leg of the tour, Nam regretfully posted on his various social media accounts that the tour had been postponed. Unpredictable weather currently hitting the East Coast and the cancelled flights that inevitably followed did not guarantee that Nam and his team would make it to each stop on time.

West Meets East (WME) Radio, the organizers of Nam’s American tour, also posted an official statement on their Facebook page that included information about ticket support and apologies for inconveniencing fans.

Despite the abrupt postponement and frustrating situation for all involved, Nam’s fans have continued to show their support towards the singer through encouraging comments on his Instagram and Facebook. Comments included, “It is okay Eric, I will go on any day to see you :)” and “Keep your head up Eric…We will be waiting for you.”

Nam, WME Radio, and B2M Entertainment (Nam’s management agency) are currently working on setting new dates tour and will release them as soon as possible through Facebook.
